Best Intentions

2018 Sky Cock
2018 Sky Cock

The year got away from me, I had the best intentions to post often. It did not work out that way. It seems there is something more pressing to do. I am a firm believer that we make time for the things we want to do. That is why I am sitting here this morning at the computer, I am making time for something not only do I want to do, but I need to do.

Breeding season 2018 came and went, it was not what I would call the most successful. However, there were bright spots in the season. Above shown is a 2018 Yellow Face hen that is from my violet line of birds crossed on my third family and then crossed back to the Gary Hicken line. She is a very nice hen. I hope that more like her are coming in the future.  She was from a Yellow Face cock that I gave to Mick McCown, and out of one of his hens, I got the first band of the clutch and I am so pleased. Thank you, Mick.

Show season came and flew by, this year I only showed at three shows. The first two I did as an Intermediate, winning Best Intermediate both days as well as a 3rd BIS and 7th BIS one day, and a 7th BIS the other day. I moved up to Champion for the third show. My nice Anthracite Cock won Best Rare in Show as well as 10th BIS. He is done now, retired to the breeding cages as soon as it cools off.

We are approaching Grand National time, Information on it can be found HERE  If you have facebook you can look it up under 2018 BAA Grand National.  It promises to be a good one this year, as usual, is the show not to miss!! There will be the ELITE AUCTION, and I hope to have the listing soon.

I have sorted the birds and have a few for sale. Currently working on getting them posted with pictures and prices. You can find the information on them and shipping on this link Birds for Sale do not worry I will have more pictures up soon. I do not have very many this season for sale, hen numbers are low, so what I post is what I have.

I have added some new articles and a reference library to house them in you can find that HERE I hope you find them useful.
