BAA Grand National Sept 21-23,2017
This year the Grand National is going to be held in Allentown, Pennsylvania, hosted by the East Penn Budgie Club. Rich Werner in charge.
Starting with the opening of the Hospitality Room Thursday evening Sept 21 and ending with the Awards Banquet and Elite Auction Saturday Night Sept 23, this years Grand National promises to be great show!!

Room rates are $65 +tax for a king or double room and a business king room is $75 + tax .
There are 16 birds in the Elite Auction this year. Donated by some of the best breeders in the country, Here is your chance to purchase birds with bloodlines that may not otherwise be available. Julie Willis has donated 2 birds., a nice 2017 Texas Clearbody cock and a 2017 Dilute Spangle Cock. Julies Sky cock was Grand National Best in Show two years in a row- 2015 and 2016 something that has never been done before. Stu Sacks, three time Grand National winner has donated a 2017 Cinnamon hen . Maureen O’steen Broderick has donated a 2017 pair of birds that consist of a Yellow Face Sky Clearwing/Opaline cock who has rainbow clutchmates, and a Yellow Face Sky Opaline/Clearwing hen . These come from Rainbow producing lines . Dewayne Weldon has donated not one but two pair of birds, The pairs consist of 2017 cock and hen, each pair one is fallow and the other is known split to fallow. Henry Timmes has donated a grey green 2017 cock. Doc Travnicek has donated a 2016 Grey Green cock. Rich Werner a 2016 sky cock that is from Doc Travnicek breeding. Rick Spier a sky clearwing hen 2017. and Greg Lovell a 2017 Dominant Pied cock that is from by a Mark Gray light green cock out of a Travnicek sky pied hen.
On a totally different note also donated to the Elite Auction is a beautiful etched glass vase with a Budgie on it by Joshua Anthony . Also donated a classic pearl necklace set (bracelet and earrings) This is 18″ of hand picked high quality pearls, chosen for luster, even size , and very few flaws. All the clasps and findings are sterling silver, the pearls are 10mm, a one of a kind item.
